Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning news anchor on WCBD TV and also as an investigative reporter. The stories she reported in Charleston about the police's leniency in DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. This led to states authorities enforcing more rigorous regulations in these cases. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by her colleagues at the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. In the years following her stay living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative journalist. Then she joined Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. Her current position as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by her work on NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. She's reported on events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as and co-hosted a variety of pre-show arrivals to The Emmys and the Golden Globes. She has also hosted the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
